Well friends - Even as I write this newsletter, "Changes are certainly taking place in the US and Brazil in the world of adventure angling outfitters and destinations!"
I have some good news for clients of Fishin' Expeditions. As most of you know, I elected to take a wait-and-see-attitude over the last season in hopes that certain things would work out. In my opinion they definitely have, on several fronts, and I am about to tell you why.
 The Unini River was off limits last year due to government restraints, and I was unsure if, and when, the problems would be resolved. So rather than book trips to a destination "hoping" all would work out, I decided to just wait out a season. I am pleased to report that the Unini is now open again for Sportfishing, at least for this season. We'll have to wait and see if it will remain open after that. The Amazon Cutter is on location and being prepared for the upcoming season. If you're considering a trip to the Unini this year - remember there has been no fishing for the Giant Peacock's of the Unini in a season-and- a-half!
Now for some more good news! - so hot off the press the ink is still wet! Our fishing adventure opportunities have significantly expanded in Brazil. Our outfitter in Brazil, Amazon Fishing Adventures, has now become the exclusive North American agent for the Santana fleet of boats in Brazil. I hope you will give serious consideration to this additional option, in that this offers us mobility, luxury and First Class service. The addition of the Santana fleet also opens up access to some of the most coveted fishing waters available in the Amazon Basin. The Santana fleet are vessels of "Excellence"...and you will not be disappointed with the vessels, the staff, the equipment, the guides or the food. The Santana reputation is long and impeccable. 
But there is yet some additional news just developing as well....The relationship between Amazon Fishin' Expeditions / Fishin' Expeditions and Amazon Fishing Adventures / Peacock Bass Trips is changing also.
Don Cutter and I have worked together now for the last five years and we've come to know and appreciate you, our loyal clients, whether fishing in Mexico or Brazil. Our operations as outfitters, and agents, are quite similar in many respects. Our focus on standards and our mission to maintain integrity lies at the core of our mutual business philosophies. Thus, after careful thought we are entering into an operating alliance.
Here's what it means for you and why it's beneficial. We are now non-competitive in the adventure angling marketplace! Don is now entering into the multi-destination market place through the portal of Fishin' Expeditions and its' Top Shelf destinations like Trophy Bass Lodge, located on the Legendary Lake Huites, Mexico. All of the Fishin' Expeditions' destinations will be available to Don Cutter clients.
Likewise, all of the Fishin' Expedition clients will have access to Amazon Fishing Adventures' South American destinations as they continue to develop. As with Fishin' Expeditions, more destinations are planned in the near future. Operations in South America will be directed by Don and the Amazon Fishing Adventures Team, and all other exotic destinations will be directed and managed by myself, through the Fishin' Expeditions Team.
Don and I are truly excited about this...and here's why. We value each and every one of you for your support and loyalty, and we want to offer the "ultimate" angling adventures available to our respective clients. By joining forces, we can do that. Through this process, we are comfortable entrusting your best care to our joint operations in the respective regions. It also allows each of us to focus on our area and region of expertise. It's a "Win/Win" for you and for us!
A Personal Note From Don...
I have been good friends with David for several years,  and we have each come to respect the other and the work that each has done. Having the opportunity of joining with David to market fishing both in Mexico and in the Amazon creates a new synergy for our clients which allows them to get the very best of both regions. We at Amazon Fishing look forward to welcoming clients of Fishin' Expeditions when they chose to fish for Peacock Bass in the Amazon, just as I know our clients will look forward to spending a few days fishing for Giant Largemouth Bass in Mexico.
