NEW WEB SITE LAUNCH
 I
have wanted to create a site dedicated to Trophy Bass Lodge and Lake Huites for some time and
this past July we launched LakeHuitesMexico.com. I hope you will check it out
and then stop by often as the season progresses. In addition to updated
Huites fishing reports there will be all kinds of new information added
as the season progresses. I know there will be some special promotions
offered in conjunction with our sponsors you won't want to miss. The fishin' expeditions site has been renovated these
past few months as it continues to grow with new exciting destinations.

 Lake
Huites and Trophy Bass Lodge fall season opens October 1st
I say this year after year and I guess fall 2009 will be
no different...fall fishin' on Huites is my favorite! The lake is
usually brim full...the foliage is lush and green from the summer
rains... temperatures are perfect with cool mornings and warms
afternoons...and the fishing is, as Trophy Bass Lodge customer Jimmy Phelps says,
"WOW" to the max! The fall top water action on Lake Huites may very well be the best on the planet
today! If you enjoy top water action with the opportunity of catching a
giant then Huites in the fall is your ticket. Huites has certainly
earned the reputation as a premiere top water destination in my book
with a monster of 12.30# in early December 2007 that fell victim
to a Magnum Chug Bug.
And Jimmy, well take a look at his giant taken one
afternoon on what else...a Magnum Chug Bug as we fished around the
perimeter of a submerged island up near the dam. If you enjoy top water
fishing; runnin' blades through the stickups; twitching an El Grande Pepper Stick or crankin' a medium
sized Fat Free Shad then the fall feeding frenzy on Huites is the
answer. The Lake is ready...the Lodge is ready...the TBL staff are

 Born to Fish Charters
Our Newest Top Shelf Destination...
I need to cut right to the chase on this one and refer
you to my fishing the Americas report and story. Check out the story

 If
you are looking for world class light tackle near shore action
then the delta region of the Mississippi River is the place to land.
And our Captain Keith Kennedy is the man with the plan! I say that
because most of you know as well as I do that finding a Captain to take
you fishin' for a day or so is no real problem. But finding a
seasoned Captain with the inherent DESIRE to work at
locating the real "Brutes" of the Sciaenops ocellatus
family...commonly called "Bull Reds" or "Red Drum"
is another matter.
Captain Keith Kennedy and I have joined forces to offer
the clients of fishin' expeditions some all inclusive packages to this
great wonderland of angling enchantment. Based out of Venice, LA our
trips will originate at Captain Keith's "fishing camp." Now I
must say, this term is used to describe most all
"destinations" camps, resorts, motels and otherwise. So don't
let the term confuse you...accommodations are nice, clean, comfortable
and perfectly located to access this fishing paradise. You might also
like to know about Keith's absolutely incredible offerings to the
discriminating palette with dishes like fresh boiled shrimp, crawfish
étouffée topped with an awesome blackened redfish filet and deliciously
tender filet mignon. Keith is adept as Captain of the kitchen as
well.

Mexico - H1N1 Lifted
May 15,
2009
The Department of State wishes to inform U.S. citizens traveling to and
residing in Mexico that on May 15 2009, the U.S. Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC) lifted
its recommendation that American citizens avoid all nonessential travel
to Mexico.
As a result of the CDC's decision, the State Department's Travel Alert
relating to the 2009-H1N1 influenza outbreak is no longer in effect.
