Trophy Bass Lodge & Lake Huites Mexico
"Check It Out!"
Trophy Bass Lodge opened October 1st for the 2009-10 season. Early reports are in and as expected the fishing in the canyons is execellent! Seems like every year it starts that way and the 2009 fall season is no exception. The lake level is about 87% and the water is a bit stained. Frank reports the big fish of last week was just over 10#. Numbers are strong with 125-150 average per boat for the day. The top water bite has started but should gain strong momentum over the next few weeks. Spinnerbais, Jigs and soft plastics are working well. Good Swimbait bite in the afternoons on windy points. Watch the Reports page on the websites for updated reports from returning guests.
We have plenty of openings for this season. Call soon toll free at 877.755.4950 for availability and special package pricing.

| First 2 Reports from the BELLE of the AMAZON!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A number of you have been asking what we expect the fishing to be like this year in the Amazon. Perhaps I can best answer that with a personal note from one fishin' expeditions client who just returned.
"David, It absolutely was worth the wait!!!! By Monday, Al Rickert and I had decided we HAD to come back - can't do that just once. We had a marvelous, thoroughly enjoyable and eyeopening time. Attached are 3 photos: my first peacock, a 17 lb; a 21 lb and 24 lb that I caught. Al and I caught a total of 230 peacocks on the trip and had 6 that went 20 to 24 lbs. My description of hooking a peacock from the mid teens and up is that you hooked a locomotive strapped to a rocket! Talk to you soon. Kindest regards to all. Chuck Mecum"
SEASON STARTS OUT SMOKIN' HOT!
The Belle of the Amazon started the season fishing outside of Barcelos.There were 9 anglers fishing aboard the Belle this week. A robust 1,619 total peacock bass were boated for the week. Of that number, there were 19 over 20lb that qualified for the Monster club. The largest being a 24.5 pounder. The top producing lure was the old reliable Woodchopper.
WEEK 2 REPORT!
At Amazon Fishing Adventures, aboard the Belle Amazon, the second week of the season continued for big fish. A total of 1177 peacock bass were caught with 64 over 10# and 11 over 20#. The biggest fish was 24.5 pounds. For the second week in a row, the Woodchopper's were the best producers for the big fish. Nine anglers were busy with this exciting peacock bass action. WHEW! Think about this folks: In 12 days of fishing 18 anglers have averaged 310 Peacocks per angler or 26+ Peacocks per day per angler with 30 of the 20# plus Monsters (up to 24 1/2#) in the mix! That's HOT!
