Dear Friends,
I just wanted to drop you this quick email to let you see Jay Heatwole's report below. Jay had a group of 10 at Trophy Bass Lodge last week. The fishing is really improving on Lake Huites and the topwater bite has finally kicked in after a slow start. Gary Fisher and his group of 12 were at the lodge just ahead of Jay's group. John Hoppe's report is noted below as well. Another member of the Fisher group, John Smallenburg and I spoke early last week...he reported a great trip also and has already rebooked for March 1st..."I just can't wait to get back down there David."
Check out my Specials Page and see if there isn't a Huites Stimulus Package that works for you and your group. Then give me a call or drop me an email to book your fishin' adventure of a lifetime!

Jay HEATWOLE Group Report
Hi David, The trip was awesome. Came off just about like the last fishing report you sent last week. The big fish was 9.5 the next was 8.75. Lot's of 7's and countless 4,5 and 6's. The quality of the bass has improved from last December, fat and sassy. The fish that were 1.5 last year are now 2-2.5 and are in perfect shape. I fished with Luis the first two days. What a great asset to your team down there. My son and I caught fish like I never had imagined we would. Without a doubt the best fishing guide I've ever fished with. Not only did he keep us on the fish but also kept us entertained with his humor. We had the perfect bait on at all times and never did anything but catch fish non stop all day. He wouldn't let me even put a lizard on. I let one of the father son teams have him the last day. Luis put them on fish like they had never seen before. The father caught the 9.5 for our largest fish of the trip and the 12 year old boated more 6 pounders than they could count. They can't wait to go back!!!! All the other guys were more than happy with their guides. I had lots of input from all and it was all positive. Happy fisherman equals fun for all!! The lodge staff was awesome and the food was perfect in every way. I don't know that they could have done anything any better! All in all, it was an awesome adventure for everyone! If I get some time later in the week I'll try and send you some photo's as they come in from the guys. I told them if they wanted to write a story about their trip with experiences you would like to have the input. Great Thanks, Jay

David...once again (second trip) food, staff, lodge, and most of all the fishing was outstanding!!! I caught a 9, 8.5, 7.3, 5.6, 5.1 and loads of others we did not weigh. I brought a digital scale so no gray area with Fisher on size. Louie was also a highlight of the trip...great guide and very personable. I will be coming back in the spring of 2009.....March or April??? Which do you recommend?? Don't change a thing...even the road!!!?!?!?!! Make a trip to myrtle beach and I'll take you off shore...jhh

The fall bite is on at Huites!
There is still time for you to get in on some of the red hot action on Lake Huites. We call it the Fall Feeding Frenzy but it really transitions right into the pre-spawn which starts in January. The fish are feeding and positioning for their annual ritual when the Big Girls begin to stage on the deep points and near the spawning area's.
